We bring together the forest and wood industry in Northern Finland
Northern Forest & Wood is an association formed by the companies in the forest and wood industry in Northern Finland. We develop responsible forestry and the use of wood while taking care of the well-being and the competitiveness of the whole sector. Our members represent the whole value chain of the forest and wood sector and we want to develop the industry together. We aim at increasing the extent of value added to the products of the wood industry in the north, sustainable use of wooden products and developing new products and services based on wood. We invest in co-operation within the industry and other branches and organise education and networking events and opportunities.
Vitality from the Forests
Forests employ tens of thousands of people in various branches in Finland. Our forestry is systematical and sustainable, and we aim at producing ecological timber for construction, wooden furniture and utility products, energy production and pulping industry.
Member Companies
Our member companies operate in the field of forestry, harvesting wood, logistics, sawmills and manufacturing various wooden products. They all are part of the responsible value chain of wood.
